At the inaugural fundraising banquet for your organization, I said that I wouldn't be surprised to see that first Las Cruces abortion facility closed down in a very short period of time due to the expanded level of full-time focus from the Southwest Coalition. But even I didn't expect it to happen quite so soon! Our God is really, really good! Since that time, I've watched in amazement as one of my heroes, Mark Cavaliere, and his team have expanded the reach and the life-saving impact of the Southwest Coalition across Southern New Mexico and West Texas with a focused mission of seeing your entire Southwest region become abortion free. 40 Days for Life is a great starting point, but it alone is not enough to end abortion. Transforming your region, building a culture of life, and bringing the injustice of abortion to an end is going to require regional collaboration. You have an incredible opportunity to help shape history by expanding your involvement in the Southwest Coalition!

The Coalition for Life meant a lot to me after I left Planned Parenthood. They were the safe haven for me. They were the safety net for me. So I'm very excited and very proud of the work that's going on in Las Cruces and El Paso. We need people out there standing for life. We need people out there witnessing to the women who are going in, witnessing to the workers who are going in, and showing that we're not just there for a few days every year, but we're there every day, that we care about you enough that we're willing to sacrifice out time, we're willing to stand out in the heat, we're willing to do whatever it takes to be there for you and to journey with you on this path to choose life.

What Mark and the team have put together—the level of research that he and the team have done, and in turn, the stunning life-saving results that they've seen—is nothing short of my dream for every community around the world. Indeed, anywhere where we've seen really good infrastructure on the ground, we have seen miracles in those communities. Having traveled across the country, visiting communities, activist organizations, and pregnancy centers, I can tell you that the Southwest Coalition is easily one of the top life-saving ministries in the country.

I am so excited for Mark and the Southwest Coalition. With all of the closures of abortion facilities across the country, but particularly in Texas, there are opportunities there in New Mexico where women are now leaving Texas and to go have abortions there, so this is the best time to support the Coalition for Life, to help Mark, to volunteer your time, and to donate money. New Mexico is down to just a few abortion facilities, and we have seen Coalition for Life offices open up in other places and close abortion facilities and save lives from abortion. We're so excited about the work that's being done in Las Cruces and El Paso and look forward to many of the things that we've learned in St. Louis and collaborated around the nation to be implemented in the Southwest, and you have some amazing leadership to get that done!

Mark did a lot of research. He looked at what was working well in other locations across the country, including other Coaltions, and asked, 'What can we pull in? What didn't work? What did work?' And he pulled all those pieces together to tailor—from what was working in other communities—what was going to work here, and it blossomed into this wonderful, unified movement with the goal to shut the Las Cruces abortion facility down.

I'm a regretful and repentant post-abortive mother and former abortion facility worker. I'm now pro-life, and I'm here to ask you to please realize the blessing you have in the full-time pro-life ministry you have in the Southwest Coalition. Please do what you can to reach out to mothers and families in need. It's so important that we pray for them; it's so important to be at the abortion centers where this is happening, and to greet all you meet with love and compassion, hope, and true alternatives.
